The generous support of Dan Mowrey and Hollis Sullivan improved our computing facilities in honor of the memory of Mr. Stanley Mowrey (B.S. Geology, 1952), a prominent independent oil and gas operator and producer. The facility is a classroom and workroom, seeing heavy use for students of all levels. It is open to all majors and minors in our program.
The lab's computers host an array of student software, including industry-standard programs generously donated by and . The software available includes for geological modeling, for dynamic reservoir simulation, for mapping, cross sections, well log plotting, and volumetric calculations, and for seismic interpretation.
