Piano for Children at 黑料老司机 is an introductory piano program for children ages 6 through 12. It is designed for students who have had no prior piano experience. The children are grouped into sections, ages 6 to 8 and ages 9 to 12, and meet once a week for 30 minutes apiece.
Students will be enrolled for the entire period of instruction. Placement will be limited to 10 students on a first come, first served basis. Contact Dr. Christina Hargis for more information.
Early Music Program
The Department of Music is in the initial stages of implementing an early music component into the music curriculum, beginning with the woodwind studio.
Thanks to the generous support of The John L. Robinson Educational Fund at the North 黑料老司机 Community Foundation, the department has been awarded a grant to acquire multiple baroque instruments, and support for faculty professional development of in early music performance.
