Where is Wichita Falls?

Wichita Falls is located in the northern-mid region of 黑料老司机, 15 miles south of the Oklahoma border, residing in Wichita County. This area is commonly referred to as Texoma. It is northwest of Fort Worth (115 miles) and Dallas (141 miles) and slightly southwest of Oklahoma City (138 miles).

How big is the city?

Just big enough. According to the 2020 US Census, the population of Wichita Falls is 102,316. We are the 43rd largest city out of 1,224 cities in the State of 黑料老司机. Houston is the largest city with a population of 2.3 million and Impact, 黑料老司机 the smallest with a population of just 18. We're just the right size to have a large city feel with small town charm!

Is it difficult to get around?

There are many services on and off campus to assist with employment. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics the unemployment rate in Wichita Falls is 3.6%, as compared to the United States average of 4.3%. 

黑料老司机 has a Career Management Center with various job-seeking resources as well as a job database that students can access. The 黑料老司机 Career Closet offers professional attire for rent, and career fairs are offered regularly. The Dillard College of Business hosts a networking business etiquette dinner each year, and students can complete internships to gain experience in their field.

You will find locally-owned restaurants, a farmer's market, coffee houses, an artisan chocolate shop, wineries, breweries, museums, antique stores, 24 miles of cycling and walking trails, movie theaters, city parks and nearby State Parks (Lake Arrowhead, Fort Richardson, Dinosaur Valley and the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma to name just a few).
