Phil Colee Memorial Scholarship

The Phil Colee Scholarship was established as a memorial to Dr. Phil Colee, a former
professor of Anthropology at Midwestern. Dr. Colee is remembered for the many
anthropological field trips he took with students, demonstrating the true spirit of
discovery, undergraduate research, and commitment to his students. He taught for 20
years at ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú and inspired many students. He was an outstanding colleague. We honor
him and his family with this scholarship.

 

Jerry and Nan Warren Scholarship

After Jerry retired as an engineer, he and Nan began auditing courses. Jerry fell in love
with Sociology while auditing nearly every Sociology course taught in the department.
He recognizes the importance of Sociology even though his education and career was in
engineering. Jerry was also a first-generation college student. He was not able to give
this kind of support when younger, but is happy to be able to help students who are
struggling to afford college today. The Sociology Department is more than grateful for all
of the support provided by the Warrens over the years.
